Redcliffe born or Redcliffe-lured?
I am Redcliffe-Lured and originally from North Queensland but I haven’t lived there full time for 20 years. I moved my business to the area almost 5 years ago and can’t imagine living anywhere else now.
What does your business/job involve?
I wear several hats, as the owner and operator of Coach2Run, I coach and train recreational runners and have a small running retail shop. I am also the volunteer event director for Redcliffe parkrun which is a free, timed community run/jog/walk that takes place at Suttons beach every Saturday. I also moonlight as a photographer and recently gained some notoriety for a photograph of a couple kissing on Woody Point Jetty, the photograph is called Autumn Love.
Suburb you live in and why you love it?
I live in Woody Point with my partner Leigh and our two dogs Jack and Maggie. Jack is an 8-year-old Staffy X and Maggie is a blind as a bat senior citizen Foxy X that we saved from the shelter. I love it here simply because it’s a great place to live with so much to offer. Natural beauty for my photography, a great running and fitness community and really great local infrastructure. There’s always something happening on the peninsula whether it be the local markets or larger events like the Festival of Sails.
How do you unwind?
I run, I photograph and I love a good movie.
Best coffee haunt in town / best watering hole in town?
I can’t go past The Old Corner Shop for Coffee in Margate, consistently the best coffee i’ve had on the Peninsula.
