Redcliffe born or Redcliffe-lured?

Redcliffe lured.

I moved to Brisbane from Coffs Harbour in April 2016 due to North Coast Holiday Parks consolidating their 3 offices from Byron Bay and Coffs to the Newcastle office, a place I really didn’t wish to live. As Marketing Coordinator for 37 Parks, it was a big decision to quit my job and move to Brisbane. I began work as Marketing Coordinator for East Coast Bullbars while living at Alderley and became drawn to the peninsula. After 1 year with ECB, I decided to try freelancing and moved to Redcliffe for the lifestyle.

What does your business/job involve?

Wicked Web is a small business, with access to a team of freelance writers, designers, photographers, videographers, drone pilots, developers and web surfers, passionate about all things digital. From web design to application development, content management, copywriting and social media marketing. Our passion is small businesses who can’t really afford the marketing agencies and we set up booking and appointment systems, takeaway delivery and booking table systems for cafes and restaurants, utilising several platforms.

Our combined skills assists small businesses, cafes, restaurants, BnBs, boutique accommodation houses and services like massage, naturopathy, etc, to control their online space, take-aways, deliveries, bookings and appointments without paying huge commissions to apps like deliveroo, menulog, ubereats, expedia, etc.

We also assist Real Estate agents in becoming digitised, offering virtual open houses, especially advantageous when they have high rise apartments for sale or rent or if they are trying to attract business clients who are time poor or don’t wish to attend physical inspections.

Suburb you live in and why you love it.

Redcliffe – Proximity to the water, lifestyle, variety of restaurants, cafes, entertainment, weather, the list could go forever – It’s just perfect for me.

How do you unwind?

Spend time with my dog, training (as a service dog) and walks along the foreshore, chill out at Cactus Jacks, The PointCafe Diversity, or another of the numerous other venues along Scarborough or Redcliffe foreshore.

Best coffee haunt in town / best watering hole in town?

Coffee would have to be Sift Cafe, just relatively new but great coffee and staff. For a beer or wine, I would have to say Cactus Jacks, being an avid people watcher or Suttons Beach Pavilion.
