Stepping back in time at sold out Abbey
Published 10:30am 10 July 2024
Thousands of knights, earls, dukes, damsels and queens were joined by 25,000 visitors at the weekend’s sold out Abbey Medieval Festival.
Abbeystowe at Caboolture was transformed into a bustling medieval village with jousting, combat demonstrations, archery and cuisine.
Visitors were able to step back in time and revel in the pageantry, excitement, colour, sounds and drama of the Middle Ages.
Now in its 33rd year, the three-day event at Abbeystowe, in Caboolture, is the largest celebration of medieval Europe in the southern hemisphere.
