Blown away by $2.8 million win
Words by Nick Crockford

A Bongaree man says the future of his children is his top priority after winning more than $2.8 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Bribie Island resident held one of the seven division one Gold Lotto winning entries. Each division one winning entry scored $2,857,142.86.

“Woah, woah! This is absolutely amazing!” the man said when an official from The Lott called to confirm his windfall.

“I’ve been using these numbers for almost three decades. They’re just so special to me for so many reasons.

“I’m also sure someone must be watching over me from above.

“I’ll be straight into the renovations at my home! Thankfully, I’ll be able to pay someone to do them now, and I won’t have to.

“First phone call is to my children. They’ll be stoked to know some of it is coming their way and they can set themselves up for the future.

“Thank you so much!”
