Enjoy Encircle’s Community Fun Day

Encircle Redcliffe is hosting a free community fun day event to raise awareness for National Heart Week.

The Hava Heart Community Fun Day will offer a variety of fun activities for all ages.

Encircle Redcliffe’s Acting CEO Robyn Rose says there will be many activities, including a community services expo.

“The community services expo will showcase a range of services for everyone such as for seniors, RSPCA, disability, employment, human services, youth, multicultural, mental health, First Nations and emergency services,” she says.

Other activities include a jumping castle, face painting, henna, and a petting zoo for the little ones.

“(There will also be) a live band as well as performance activities to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle, including Zumba and yoga. (Patrons) can enjoy a free BBQ, drinks, snow cones and popcorn, plus information stalls from various services,” Robyn says.

While these events are great for raising awareness, they’re also great for bringing the community together.

“At these events, local organisations and agencies are able to engage with households that may then chose to utilise services in order to flourish, grow and become more self-sustaining,” Robyn says.

“Whilst these events enable community members to participate in a day of fun without the pressures of cost, there are many other benefits in enabling community to come together.

“These types of events enhance social and cultural capital. Communities that are more aware and accepting are usually more cohesive.

“Ultimately, as a community owned organisation, Encircle is privileged to work alongside those living in Moreton Bay and in contributing to a stronger, more resilient community.”
