The million-dollar Lotto lightning bolt has struck three times across the City of Moreton Bay in the first 11 months of this year.

Figures from January 1 to November 30 show a $2 million Saturday Gold Lotto ticket, bought at Kallangur Fair News in late June, took top spot.

Either side were $1million Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto wins for tickets from TSG Morayfield in March and Midway News, Redcliffe in August.

Our region’s total of three $1m-plus wins was down on seven in last year’s Saturday and Monday & Wednesday draws, but up on two in 2021.

There was also a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot win from this region in July with the online purchase picking up $100,000.

Instant Scratch-Its have brought $455,000 to residents in the City of Moreton Bay with the biggest a $200,000 windfall from a $15 Crosswords Book Scratch-It bought at HealthSave Ferny Grove in May.

There were also $10,000 wins from a $1 Luck of the Irish Scratch-It from Rothwell News in May, a $5 Cash Path Scratch-Its from Nextra Bribie Island in July and The Lucky Charm Redcliffe in August.

In Australia, the biggest Division One prize this year was also an online Powerball entry which earned its lucky NSW owner $100m on June 22.
