With just a few weeks until entries for this year’s 2024 Moreton Bay Business & Innovation Awards close, organisers are calling on the community to nominate young achievers for a new category.

The Award for Young Achiever of the Year honours exceptional individuals aged 18 to 30 years with accomplishments in fields including business, volunteering, social enterprise, and charity/fundraising.

It recognises young professionals who have demonstrated exemplary leadership, innovation, and impact early in their careers.

Judges will consider factors such as leadership skills, tangible accomplishments, and the nominee's dedication to making a meaningful difference.

Now entering its seventh year, the awards presented by Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT) continue to be the highest accolade for businesses and individuals within the City of Moreton Bay.

Nominations are open now until March 19 and are open to businesses and individuals based in the City of Moreton Bay.

MBRIT CEO Natassia Wheeler says she is thrilled to see the Award for Young Achiever of the Year added to this year’s honours.

“Our community is brimming with remarkable young individuals whose dedication and innovation have significantly impacted our region,” Ms Wheeler says.

“This award is a testament to their hard work and commitment, and we're excited to shine a spotlight on their achievements. Together, let's celebrate the incredible contributions of our young achievers and inspire future generations to reach even greater heights.”

Ms Wheeler says the Moreton Bay Business & Innovation Awards program continues to evolve, reflecting the diverse tapestry of achievements within the community.

“Whether forging new paths as entrepreneurs, lending their talents to volunteerism, driving social impact through innovative enterprises, or spearheading charitable initiatives, this accolade celebrates the remarkable contributions of our young leaders across various spheres,” she says.
