A Redcliffe woman says she feels like the ‘luckiest person in Australia’ after the gold coins rattling around her bag turned into a $10,000 Instant Scratch-Its win.

Her top prize-winning $5 Cash Path Instant Scratch-Its ticket was bought at The Lucky Charm Redcliffe, Bluewater Square Shopping Centre, Redcliffe.

“When something like this happens, you struggle to believe it!” she exclaimed when an official from The Lott called to confirm her windfall.

“I just keep thinking, ‘oh my god, am I the luckiest person in Australia?’.

“My kids and I are still gobsmacked. None of us can believe that this has happened but we’re all so grateful.

“I’m going to share it with them and it’s going to be such a help for us all given how expensive things are getting now.

“It’s just wonderful to know I can put a little bit away and I can have some security moving forward.

“I love scratching away at an Instant Scratch-Its ticket! It’s a bit of fun and this just shows that you never know what’s going to happen.

“Thank you so much for this!”

The Lucky Charm Redcliffe team said they were over the moon for their winning customer and wished them all the best for the future.

In 2022, there were 141 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across The Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $15.16 million in top prizes.

During this same time, Instant Scratch-Its players enjoyed more than 28.7 million wins across all prize tiers worth more than $261 million. This equates to almost three-quarters of a million dollars won on Instant Scratch-Its every day.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.
