Redcliffe born or Redcliffe-lured?

Redcliffe born and bred. Lived only two years away from Redcliffe my entire life and that was to study at university. My parents grew up in Sandgate, holidaying in Redcliffe as teenagers. They moved to Redcliffe after Dad applied for a teaching post at Scarborough State School and I lived on the same street as the school until I left for Uni.

What does your business/job involve?

I worked for many years for the MBRC and State Government before moving into Sports Admin/Marketing. I now run my own business, based in Clontarf, training the community and business owners to be self-sufficient in Marketing, Planning, Events and Consulting.

Suburb you live in and why you love it?

After living in Redcliffe from when I returned from Uni in 1999 through to 2011, my husband and I bought our house in Clontarf after months of house hunting. We love the convenience of the location to the bridge and accessing Brisbane for work and travel commitments, the sea breeze, accessibility to walk ways and parks for riding our bikes and walking. And we are very lucky to have amazing neighbours that genuinely care and look out for each other.

How do you unwind?

Walking along the beach front, gardening, swimming and getting together with friends for both business and pleasure at The Belvedere.

Best coffee haunt in town / best watering hole in town?

Often at The Drowned Rat Espresso Bar after morning walks, but take business meetings and run the local Ocean Network business group with the support of The Belvedere at Woody Point – so am there often for both coffee and cocktails!
