My debut book “Returning Home”, published in January 2018 by Balboa Press AU, was four and a half years in the making.  It is the true story of a life lived in two countries on opposite sides of the world. In my autobiography, I recalls the events and upheavals that have played a significant role in my life’s journey. I wrote the book after experiencing a series of major life changes in 2012 which left me grief- stricken, depressed and suicidal.  In order to get the reader up to speed with how I came to be in the situation I found myself in I went back in time to paint the picture of my life as an English immigrant growing up in Redcliffe in the seventies and eighties.

In “Returning Home,” I share my experiences of returning to England after having lived in Australia for over 40 years. Chronologically written, I revisit memories from childhood and the events that transpired between my past and present life, revealing many synchronicities and “Twilight Zone” type moments. The book also details the grieving process and spiritual insights I gleaned from losing my mother.I also write about many experiences I’ve had in a number of endeavours I have been involved in throughout my life thus far.

By sharing my story, I hope to inspire readers to follow their heart’s desire and to relinquish fear, procrastination and self-doubt. My book encourages others to work through grief and adversity and come out on top. Its main message is to not die with your music still inside of you.
